Leading-edge Dimmer

0-10V controlled leading-edge dimmer 40W to 2.3KVA

Provides exceptionally smooth dimming of LEDs and other light sources dimmable by leading-edge phase control

  • A remote standalone high-power mains dimmer controlled by a safe, standard 0-10V analogue signal
  • Both dimming and switching functions are controlled by the same 0-10V signal cable
  • Includes an internal 10A relay to switch off the lighting load
  • Exceptionally smooth dimming of LEDs and other light sources, which may be combined
  • For use with Rotary Push-control Dimmer (RPC), MoodMaker Scene-setting System (MMSU), Take Control (TCU100) and third-party products (see Related Products)
  • When used with Push-control Dimmer (RPC), the wall plate generates no heat, is silent, and there is no requirement to replace existing wiring when retrofitting

0-10V controlled leading-edge dimmer 40W to 2.3KVA

  • Standalone unit, dimensions L 290mm, W 138mm, H 42mm
  • Dimming and switching from 0-10V signal input. Dimming 1-10V. Switching, via internal relay, is activated when signal falls below 1V
  • Input circuitry is SELV-compatible (separated or safe extra-low voltage)
  • Multi-way switching capability
  • For use with Rotary Push-control Dimmer (RPC), MoodMaker Scene-setting System, Take Control, and third party products 
  • When a Rotary Push-control Dimmer (RPC) is used to control AD2500, the wall plate is silent and does not generate heat
  • In a retrofit situation when, for example, a switching installation is to be replaced by a Push-control Dimmer (RPC) and AD2500, it is possible to use existing wiring. See wiring diagrams here
  • The unit is suitable for mains-dimmable LEDs, LED drivers dimmable by phase control, mains-voltage incandescent lamps, quality low-voltage transformers dimmable by trailing-edge phase control, mains halogen lamps

Rotary Push-control Wall Dimmer (RPC series)

0-10V rotary dimming and switching. RPC Push-control Dimmer fits or clips into wall plates and grid systems from UK wall-plate manufacturers.

  • When used with one AD2500 (RPC1) or more AD2500s (RPC2) switching and dimming is possible using only 2-core cable. Allows easy retrofit dimming, avoiding the need to chase walls, and produces no heat or noise at the wall plate

Take Control (TCU100 and TCR)

Allows up to four Take Control Rotaries (TCR) to be positioned around a room or building, with each seamlessly taking control of switching and dimming.

  • When used with the AD2500 it allows up to four Take Control Rotaries (TCR) to each switch and dim a lighting circuit requiring leading-edge dimming

MoodMaker Scene-setting System

Multi-channel scene-setting system with up to four scene-select Wall Plates, each with a choice of six scenes (four moods plus full ‘on’ and ‘off’) for any number of lighting channels or circuits.

  • The 0-10V signal output from a MoodMaker channel to one or more AD2500s can be used to dim and switch a lighting circuit requiring trailing-edge dimming

Lighting Control Systems

AD2500 can be used with any lighting control systems or products providing 0-10V signal control outputs.

  • When used with third-party lighting control systems which provide a 0-10V control signal, dimming is provided over the control range from 1-10V and switching is activated when the signal is below 1V
